šÆ PLACE YOUR BETS: TRYOUT SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!
The countdown is on, and Season 7 is ready for takeoff. āļø
At Phoenix Athletics, team placements arenāt just about filling a spot ā theyāre about finding the place your athlete will thrive.
š What Makes Us Different?
As a small gym with a big heart, we do things intentionally. Each child is seen as an individual, not just a skill set. We evaluate the whole athlete ā from technical ability to mindset ā and build teams that bring out the very best in every flyer, base, and tumbler.
We donāt believe in simply surviving a season.
We believe in thriving.

š TEAM REVEAL ā JUNE 4TH
One of the most exciting days of the year!
Join us at the gym for a fun, high-energy team reveal. We work hard to make this moment unforgettable for each and every athlete.
š§ What Weāre Looking For
During evaluations, coaches assess:
ā Tumbling skills
ā Jump technique
ā Stunt execution
ā Choreography and performance
ā Endurance & teamwork
We do not place based on athlete or parent preference.
Why? Because team success depends on more than individual talent. We look at:
⨠Skill range (not just one skill!)
⨠Consistency and proper technique
⨠Maturity and coachability
⨠Team chemistry and athlete roles
⨠Sportsmanship and determination
Levels are not a badge ā theyāre a building block. One skill does not determine a level. A well-rounded athlete with endurance and focus might be ready for a level above someone with one standout tumbling pass.
š« A Note on Team Challenges
We kindly ask that families trust the process.
Our coaching staff works extensively to evaluate every athlete and build the strongest teams possible. Challenging placements doesnāt support your childās growth ā it teaches them to question before they learn.
Our promise:
Every athlete has a role. Every team has value. Every season brings growth.
šŖ How to Prepare for Tryouts
š Attend skill-building classes in May
š§ Stay hydrated and get plenty of rest
š¬ Talk with your child about the value of any team
⨠Bring a positive attitude and open heart
š£ Practice, prepare, and trust your journey
š Weāre So Ready!
We canāt wait to welcome new and returning athletes into a season full of growth, teamwork, and flight. Together, weāll build teams that nurture athletes into their all star selves ā on and off the mat. š«
Letās fly, Phoenix.
